Cromargan®
is our registered trade mark and stands for 18/10 stainless steel.
WMF Perfect hard silverplating
The basic material used for silverplated cutlery is Cromargan® or alpaca onto which a permanent layer of silver is applied by means of a galvanising process.
Solid silver and sterling silver
The stamp munber on silver cutlery indicates the fineness of pure silver. Sterling silver with 925 parts per 1000 g has the highest grade of fineness.
WMF Microcut-knife blades
For a long time the knife blades of all WMF silver cutlery have been equipped tn the newly
developed Microcut blades. This serrated edge developed by WMF is hardly visible to the naked eye and guarantees excellent long lasting blade sharpness. This is a genuine innovation for silver
cutlery.
WMF Service
In order to take up current trends, it is unavoidable that individual cutlery patterns are discontinued. Models that are no longer in the current range can still be ordered. The orders are collected by WMF retailers and are manufactured by WMF once a year as ordered. This is valid until the final date that production ceases which is made known at least 1 year in advance.
